God created each one of us with a desire to find peace and contentment through a relationship with Him. However, we tend to seek peace and contentment via earthly lusts. Material items, power, sex, money, etc. And so we are never satisfied. We always want more. It's only when we have a relationship with Christ that we find true peace and happiness. It's then that God gives us spiritual gifts. When we use these gifts to share the good news of Christ with others, and we reflect God to others, that's when we find a purpose for life. And a peace and joy that surpasses all understanding.
